Specialist Notes:

Omnicell provides SCORM files for customers to download, then upload on their facility's learning management systems (LMS) for staff. eLearning content (courses, learning plans, videos etc.) is available to all customers at no cost.

Users often confuse downloadable eLearning versions with the online version on Omnicell Institute. To assist properly, confirm if the user wants to take the course online or download files for their facility’s LMS, then go from there.

TIPS TO HELP VERIFY DOWNLOADABLE VERSIONS

You can use these tips to identify if a user is opening the downloadable version, instead of the online of a course:

- Downloadable versions are SCORM files — they are meant for uploading to an LMS, not for opening directly on a computer.
- Users describe the issue as opening folders with http files and there's no course, this is how the downloadable version are intended to work.
- You can verify by check the transcript title — if it ends with “for Download”, it is the SCORM version.

Since Omnicell Institute is now storing these files under the "Repository" section of online versions, we may see less of this issue - see Repository | Download eLearning SCORM Files response.
